Prof. David Britton of Swansea University is our first Writer in Residence at United International College. A mandate of the United International College Writer-in-Residency programme is to provide support for an accomplished writer while allowing the community as a whole to benefit from the writer’s creativity and expertise.
Prof. Britton is the Drama specialist on the Creative Writing Programme in the English Department at Swansea University and will be sharing his knowledge of and passion for Shakespeare and modern theatre in a lecture entitled “Look, Listen, Think, Feel, Show, Tell…” to be held in T29-105 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, September 25, 2017.
Prof. Britton has written and directed award-winning dramatic works for theatre, radio and the visual media. The works include his adaptation of Oedipus/ Antigone to be performed under the direction of our first Writer in Residence by the students of the English Language and Literature Programme.
