当源自南越王墓的青铜乐器——句鑃(复制件)在波士顿被再次敲响,当两千多年前只属于王朝宫廷的礼乐之音与当代青年产生共振,一场融合传统与创新的中国雅乐盛宴,在美国历史名城列克星敦缓缓拉开帷幕。

As a replica of the ancient bronze Judiao, inspired by instruments unearthed from the Tomb of the Nanyue King, is struck once again in Boston, the ritual music once reserved exclusively for imperial courts over two thousand years ago resonates with today’s younger generation. In the historic American town of Lexington, a Chinese court music celebration—where tradition meets innovation—quietly unfolds.

2026年1月31日晚,由 WeStar Music 联合 北师香港浸会大学玉振金声雅乐团、南越王博物院 共同推出的中国古代宫廷编钟音乐会 “戛玉鸣金”,在马萨诸塞州列克星敦历史悠久的 Cary Memorial Hall 隆重上演。音乐会开始前,主办方还特别设置了招待会与展览互动时光,让观众得以近距离了解中国古代青铜礼乐文明的历史脉络。
On the evening of January 31, 2026, the ancient Chinese court bianzhong concert “Chiming Jade and Ringing Gold,” jointly presented by WeStar Music, the Yuzhen Jinsheng Yayue Ensemble of Beijing Normal University–Hong Kong Baptist University, and the Nanyue King Museum, was grandly staged at the historic Cary Memorial Hall in Lexington, Massachusetts.
Prior to the concert, a special reception and interactive exhibition were held, offering audiences an opportunity to engage more closely with the historical legacy of ancient Chinese bronze ritual and musical culture.

此次音乐会被视为美国音乐史上极具里程碑意义的一次演出——这是首次在美国舞台上,完整呈现并现场演奏一整套中国古代宫廷编钟体系。
中国青铜编钟诞生于两千多年前,是古代文明中最精妙、最具代表性的音乐成就之一。它音色庄重而悠远,宁静而恢宏,曾回荡于王朝宫廷、国家礼仪与重大典制之中,是中国“礼乐文明”的核心象征。
本场演出所使用的编钟与句鑃,均为依据公元前约200年古代器物形制精心复原的复制件,使观众得以通过真实的声音,直观感受跨越两千年的音乐文化瑰宝。
This concert is widely regarded as a milestone event in the history of music in the United States, marking the first time a complete system of ancient Chinese court bianzhong has been fully presented and performed live on an American stage. Originating more than two thousand years ago, Chinese bronze chime bells represent one of the most refined and emblematic musical achievements of ancient civilization. Renowned for their solemn yet expansive, serene yet majestic tones, these instruments once resonated throughout imperial courts, state rituals, and major ceremonial occasions, standing at the very core of China’s tradition of ritual and music. The bianzhong and Judiao used in this performance are meticulously reconstructed replicas based on ancient artifacts dating back to around 200 BCE, allowing audiences to experience—through authentic sound—a musical and cultural treasure that spans more than two millennia.



本场音乐会并非单一器乐展示,而是一场高度完整的沉浸式古代宫廷视听呈现。
演出融合了编钟、编磬、句鑃、瑟、建鼓等中国古代乐器,并辅以庄重的礼仪音乐、轻盈的宴享舞乐以及绵延悠长的情歌和弦。音乐、舞蹈与仪式性动作相互交织,勾勒出两千年前中国宫廷中“以乐化人、以礼立国”的精神世界。
值得一提的是,这一整套古代宫廷音乐表演体系,曾多次登上中国中央电视台舞台,被视为中国传统礼乐艺术的重要代表。如今,大波士顿地区的观众终于得以在现场,亲身感受这一恢弘而珍贵的音乐传统。
This concert is not merely an instrumental showcase, but a fully immersive audiovisual re-creation of ancient Chinese court music. The performance brings together traditional instruments including bianzhong (bronze chime bells), bianqing (stone chimes), Judiao, se (zither), and jiangu (ceremonial drums), accompanied by solemn ritual music, graceful banquet dances, and lyrical melodies of enduring love. Music, dance, and ritual movement are intricately interwoven, evoking the spiritual world of the ancient Chinese court—where music was believed to cultivate moral harmony and ritual to sustain the foundations of the state. Notably, this complete system of ancient court music performance has been featured multiple times on China Central Television and is widely recognized as a significant representation of China’s traditional ritual and music heritage. Today, audiences in the greater Boston area are finally able to experience firsthand this majestic and invaluable musical tradition.

On the evening of the concert, reporters from the Youth Reporter Corps were on site to document the event. From organizers and performers to audience members, all bore witness to an ancient civilization coming vividly back to life on a contemporary stage. Some performers shared that playing an instrument carrying such profound historical weight felt like engaging in a dialogue across time with those who came before them. Audience members, meanwhile, described the experience as a form of cultural understanding that transcends language—one that allows listeners to approach ancient Chinese civilization directly through sound.
